Welcome!

Hi There! Slip off you shoes, and take a journey with me into our amazing history. We have learned so much yet, there is still so much out there left un-discovered.

So, come on now lets discover the foot prints our ancestors left for us!!!!!

I began leisurely to document and trace my tree
And pinpoint the forerunners before me.

All I had was my Great Grandfather Ernsts' name;
Knowing his wife and from where they came.

I traced them from Wisconsin to my Illinois state,
And recorded few pages with names and date.

The death records were really quite sad
of his illness; but surely more is to be had.

Upon putting it all together, I've become forlorn.
I desire his parents' names from whom he was born.

To the Ancestry.com subscribed I recently did
In hopes of finding Ernst Berhenke as a kid.

My hopes are fast growing dim.
Why aren't there more records of him?

I need more data and so I beg!
I wonder if he hatched from an egg?

So much  time I have been spent on this tree.
Will I ever his parents' names see?

This is George and Dorothy's grave marker. If you look closely, you will see a little white dove by Dorothy's name. One of my memories of going to "grandma's" was being able to feed the bird my yoke, from my hard boiled eggs. (They love them you know!) :)

Daisy, Growing

Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to record what I've learned about our family history. In these modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if not the world. One of the goals of this web site is to help our family stay connected even though we live far apart.

Scroll, Spinning

On this page I'll provide a little information about who I am and what inspired me to do this research. Most of this information was probably obtained from talking to living relatives and from researching public records. In the course of doing this research, I've discovered that I have many more relatives than I ever thought possible!

This is a work in progress, so please contact me if you have any information that might help round out the picture.

With out all their help, we would still be in the dark, with what turned out to be a A real life soap opera. Thank you everyone soo much!!!
