ABOUT ME

Violet Beating Heart

Family to me is one of the most important things in life, that is why I have decided to create this web site. I have a Wonderful family, and come from a long line of love.

I was born Aug 29, 1972, Moline IL. The second child to Roger and JoAnn Sutton. As a baby I had seven holes in my heart, but thanks to many hours of prayers, and loving care I am still here today.
As a child I was shy and quiet, until you got to know me, then look out, because I had all kinds of stories to tell you. I was also a very sensitive person, (I guess I still am today). I like to blame that on the holes in my heart, because no one was aloud to scold me or let me cry to much, for it may have harmed my health.
I was married when I was 19 with my first baby on the way. I had 3 beautiful children by that marriage Cody Allen, Destanee Margaret, Kaleb Ivan. That marriage ended in divorce, in 1995, I then married Jonathan Michael Lisius Feb 14, 1998 in Clinton IA. Jonathan is a printing press operator, and I am a registered dental assistant, however I have taken a break from dental assisting, and currently am a property manager for 2 apartment complexes.
I enjoy playing on the computer, doing family research, and spending time with my family
I am always up for a good family story.

That is it about me!. Enjoy the site!!

Memories and Stories

If I'd only listened
To Grandma while at her knee,
As she talked and told old-time stories
Of things and people as they used to be.

If I'd only listened;
But I thought the age-old stories were a bore.
All those names, dates, and tales,
Some how, I managed to ignore.

If I'd only listened
As Grandma told how things were then;
Or had her to re-tell
The stories and tales again and again.

If I'd only listened,
Questioned, and asked her
About her Grandma, Grandpa, and others
As to When? What? and Where?

If I'd only listened;
Her wealth of information
I would now treasure
As I'd have abundant family documentation.

If I'd only listened to Grandma;
But it's now too late!
So, I'll just record on paper the facts
I know and to the Historic Society donate.
